Spirit of 26 Award Recipient 2020

Peace Arch Chorus is pleased to honour Bev Feick as Region 26 Sweet Adelines International Spirit of 26 Award recipient.

Bev Feick has been an active member of Peace Arch Chorus since 2007 when she retired from a fulfilling career in Radiology. Since that time, Bev has been involved in every aspect of Chorus life from sectional leader and administration, to fundraising, and physical and vocal warmups. She is always eager to learn and readily attend the Regional Area Schools, Harmony College NorthWest, and has completed numerous units in the Director’s Certification program.

As a valued member of the Management Team, Bev is our Communication Specialist. In this capacity, Bev has demonstrated exceptional relational and organizational skills, that are highly valued by the Management Team, Music Director, and Peace Arch members.

Bev is a prized example of a tireless leader who knows how to introduce, review, and interpret our repertoire. Her support of our members extends the normal definition of a Bass sectional leader. Through her own initiative, Bev enthusiastically conducts additional rehearsals, sectionals, and one-on one practice sessions in her home. She unconditionally shares her musical talents, knowledge, and time, rarely missing a rehearsal or performance.

However, nothing surpasses Bev’s love of family, and dedication to her church. We are truly blessed to have Bev generously share her many talents with our Chorus.

On a side note, Bev has put a new spin on Carpool Karaoke! Often you can hear warmup exercises pouring out the car window as she zooms down the highway to rehearsals!

Bev truly exemplifies the best of Sweet Adelines!
